Plot summary

Short of money for Petra’s school fees, Beatrice starts a telephone sex line and receives a deeply unwelcome call from Petra’s father. Lyle helps Nigel Pearson defend a community of nuns facing eviction from their convent. Peter attempts to reconcile a medical researcher and her daughter, whose personal conflict has become entangled with their work.
